About
I am a multi-passionate artist who enjoys creating mixed media coffee paintings, charcoal portraits, mixed media sculptures, murals, and window paintings. After studying multiple mediums of art in college, I received a BFA from East Tennessee State University and MFA from Arizona State University. I began painting murals to enhance exhibits at a regional children’s museum. I enjoyed working with children so much that I went on to pursue teaching as a career. I taught Visual Arts at the intermediate/middle school level for 17 years and am now a full-time artist. Through my business, Artsy Walls & Windows, I utilize my teaching experience and 30 years of mural painting experience to create custom murals and collaborative artmaking experiences for customers who want to participate in the mural painting process.
My artwork can be found in collections across the country including: The New Britain Museum of American Art; Scottsdale Contemporary Museum of Art; University of Washington Book Arts and Rare Book Collection; Northwest Art Center; and the Tucson Museum of Art, among others.
